Global Day of Prayer (GDOP) 2006

Dancers, we just had to say how much we enjoyed serving you. It truly was a delight to worship with you, to pray with you, to plan and eventually to dance with you all. Just special thanks out to all team leaders that caught the vision for GDOP and for the unity of David's Army! God so delights when we can lay down "our agendas", "our style of dance", "our team" and truly embrace the bigger picture of World unity and one BODY. The event was amazing, because our God is amazing! He is  so worthy of all of our praise! To those of you that freestyle in worship, what an atmosphere you created for prayer! To see people just feely love God with their whole bodies and use all of their gifts to express their adoration was inspiring. Thank you to the choreographed dancers that came out for practices- Praying with our bodies together was not only beautiful, but a lot of fun. And how can we forget all of the amazing volunteers whose time and effort made everything go so smoothly.  Worshippers, No word of a lie you have changed the status of worship dance everywhere- no longer will we be considered only show pieces to fill in a blank spot or give some entertainment. We are ministers unto the Lord and we are a force to be reckoned with in the spirit! We are a compliment to any worship team and visually you all looked like children of a KING! we was so honored to dance with you and will call all of you again as  the Spirit leads. Put next years GDOP event on your calendar now!!!!

Project Dance New York 2006

This update is for those of you that went with us to Project dance and also for those of you that were unable to attend, but supported us through your prayers and financial support.
God was amazing in all that He accomplished in and through us on this trip. First the Lord gave us the understanding that this mission trip was His plan. We over came our inferiority as dancers as we stepped out and asked for prayer and financial support and trusted that He would provide. And for all of us that attended He did. Some of us understood that this trip would establish us as true ministers of the gospel. And God performed His work as we submitted ourselves to whatever He wanted to accomplish.

The bus ride was our first true test, as we overcame our inability to arrive on time, to attend the orientation training session and to have our pre-planned schedule accomplished. But after all was said and done we understood the mission that seemed impossible was for all of us to become one, one with God, one with His plan and one with each other. As we prayed and worshipped together God revealed the next step in His plan and peace was released amongst us.
We were tired as we arrived for the evening worship session, but the adrenaline soon started to flow as we gathered in song and dance with other worshippers that had come to New York. Soon enough we had entered into the presence of God and knew that God had us here for a purpose. For some of us we had never experienced such freedom in a worship service.

The next day was another test as we saw 400+ dancers from all over the world come together to dance for God, not under sunny skies, but with rain, umbrellas, wet dance shoes and slippery floors. How could this be God’s plan, it must have been the devils work. We didn’t think so. God desires to be the one glorified and He tests the true heart of everyone that wants to serve Him. We were tested again to see if our attitudes were righteous, our response holy and our decision to continue pure. So we prayed together, got dressed in our priestly garments and went on to minister to the people of New York and to defeat the principalities, powers and rulers of darkness that had set themselves up in Times Square.

How? What strategy would we use? We started with the awesome medium of dance and divine obedience. You would have thought that that would have been enough, but God had an even greater plan than we did to make sure we finished the task intended. As it unfolded through two and half hours of spontaneous praise and worship in song and dance during the intermission which eventually led to evangelism in the streets, prayer for the people that had gathered around us, for the city of New York and eventually we discovered we would also have victory over the Media and Authority that governed that area and was opposing the 10 hour concert all morning.
Wow! if that wasn’t enough Holy Spirit would also individually minister to each one of us throughout the events of the day to reveal to us His true plan for us as more than just dancers, but as worshippers delivering the good news of Jesus Christ.

On the Sunday Morning we all gathered together for a service that would change most of us forever. We were brought face to face with truth that most of us fight. The fight of “not my will God but let yours be done”. Our dreams and promises from God will be established, but how and when they manifest and eventually look is not ours to be concerned about we are just to surrender everything to our Lord and let Him use us as vessels of honor.

The icing on the cake was when our Daddy God blessed us with a reward of being able to dance at the Alvin Ailey Centre of Dance with Godly instructors that have surrendered their art and talent to God first. What an awesome feeling to know that we were apart of a greater group of individuals everywhere that were all at different stages in their dance with God, but each wanting to give Him a gift of love in excellence and submission. We had a blast!

The bus ride home was different than the ride to New York. God inhabited the praises of His people as we testified of His greatness nonstop for 10hrs. We shared corporate testimonies, personal repentance, prayer, individual inner works that had begun and during this time we realized two things, God had made us one as we laughed together, cried for each other and prayed as if we were praying for ourselves. And secondly He was not finished with this group yet. A corporate mantle was released amongst us to carry what we had received back to the GTA area. It would not look the same, so again we would have to wait on Him as He revealed the vision, but we all were willing for the sake of the greater plan. So stay tuned as God unfolds the next stage in what have intermittently called Dance Project Toronto. (Dancing in the streets for the streets).
