Worship
in Motion is a unique worship dance ministry which
transcends religious denominations, age and level of
training.
The members of this team are
passionate about their worship unto the Lord and desire
for others to come into a greater level of freedom in and
through worship dance.
This is a special ministry
team with a mandate to train through ministry. Many of the
past team members have been equipped and released to lead
worship dance teams in there respective ministry areas.
The
ministry is called to train, equip and release
congregations, Christian dance companies, Ministry team
leaders and individuals into dance
ministry and worship.
Worship in Motion
is in
close fellowship with Pastors, Leaders, Schools,
Ministries and a network of dance teams in the GTA area.
What does Worship in Motion do?
They
teach on the basics of how to use dance as an effective
tool for ministry purposes.
They have
been accomplishing this mandate through various avenues.
For example, weekly training sessions, workshops,
conferences, private lessons, specialty events and
customized choreography.
The
Spirit and Truth Ministry Centre is located on the border
of Brampton/ Mississauga where they train students 2 -
65 yrs of age, weekly on the fundamentals of worship dance.
They train from the
level of beginner to advanced.
All of students do not only
learn about worship and dance, but are also equipped to
use dance as an evangelistic ministry tool. We provide
multiple ministry opportunities for every student.
They have done ministry for
many different congregations and different outreaches.
They have helped to give exposure to worship dance as a
complimentary to praise and worship, at the many places
where they minister.
They have
been traveling extensively across the country speaking and
holding workshops and conferences to help the church
understand the biblical foundations of worship dance.
Why
does Worship in Motion exist?
With the
popularity of dance in today’s society, many Christians
haven't had many choices when it comes to dance training,
they either go to a secular dance school to gain their
training or they take worldly dance moves and try to make
them look Christian by putting them to Christian music and
calling it worship. Unfortunately most dance schools
promote competition, comparison, worldly views and values.
The choice of music, dress attire and the movements have
sexual connotations that are not suitable for Christians
seeking to dance in a congregational setting.
WIM is a
biblical alternative to help parents and adult students
alike to be trained first in worship and then in dance to
set a proper order for ministry within the congregation
and at ministry events. With dance also making a
resurgence in Church congregations many leaders of dance
are in need of mentors to help them with the everyday
concerns and particular challenges that arise out of
having a worship dance team.

Initiatives
For those
that are unable to attend our different training sessions
we now have developed an online leadership course.
Due to a
great need we also provide worship garments and worship
instruments
We also
provide Christian resources through our DVDs,
instructional videos and books that we produce.
We have
done 9 major dance celebrations at professional theatres
Most
recently added to our ministry is our own professional
Theatre house "Aphesis Expression" which does Christian
ministry dinner theatre.
We have
collaborated with large corporate worship venues such as
Mission Fest, GDOP, Jesus in the City, Project Dance and
Leaders Eagles Summit for a network of dancers in the GTA
area..
